Drew and Mia - 5.14.26
There’s something especially meaningful about a proposal that feels deeply personal to a couple’s story, and Drew planned every detail of this one perfectly.
Back in late March 2026, Drew first reached out to me about planning a surprise proposal for Mia. From the very beginning, he knew exactly what mattered most — he wanted to propose at sunset on the beach closest to where they live in Mount Pleasant. He envisioned a quiet, romantic moment along the coast that felt authentic to them, and together we started building the perfect plan.
To keep the surprise intact, Drew convinced Mia they were simply heading out for dinner in the area before taking a walk on the beach. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we coordinated every detail over two planning calls to make sure the evening unfolded seamlessly.
Drew’s sister, Alenna, played a huge role in bringing the vision to life. She arranged pick up of a gorgeous bouquet from Coastal Florals along with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot displayed in a customized wine bucket featuring their names and proposal date. She also brought along the sweetest wooden tray setup and scattered real rose petals leading from the beach boardwalk down to the proposal spot.
As the couple walked onto Isle of Palms Beach at sunset on May 14, 2026, Mia was completely caught off guard — at first.
She later said that the moment she spotted the trail of rose petals in the sand, she instantly knew what was happening.
And of course… she said yes.
After the proposal, we spent time capturing engagement portraits as the sky absolutely showed off for us. The coastline glowed with soft pastel colors, golden light, and the kind of sunset that feels almost unreal. It was the perfect ending to such an emotional and thoughtfully planned evening.
Drew created a proposal experience that was intentional, romantic, and filled with meaningful details for Mia, and it was such an honor to help document the beginning of this next chapter for them.
Congratulations again to Drew & Mia on their engagement!
