Sunrise Maternity Session on Isle of Palms

Jamie reached out earlier this year, she and her husband Chris live in the upstate and visit Charleston frequently. She wanted to have her maternity pictures done here, and loved the idea of the beach session. Since my beach sessions only take place at Sunrise or Sunset and the weather can be a tricky thing to predict, I suggested the idea of a Baby Moon for a weekend getaway which would allow us ample time to plan her session even if we rain into the chance of rain. Jamie and Chris LOVED the idea and we immediately started the planning process.

Isle of Palms was our beach of choice, she loved the look of low tide and wide open space which is typically easier to achieve at sunrise. I had recently returned from my own little getaway and was anxious to get back to shooting. This is definitely the start of my beach season here in Charleston and we were greeted with an absolutely STUNNING sunrise. Jamie and Chris are having a girl and the pink, magenta and orange hues of the sunrise went absolutely perfect with the Pink Harper gown she picked out for the session.

I'm absolutely thrilled with how their session turned out. We had such an epic sunrise and than the most perfect cloud that hung over the sun to allow for just a couple more shots in the white Grace gown.
